Jason Williams – BVSc MRCVS

Jason Williams

Director and Veterinary Surgeon
Jason is one of the two owners of Bicester Vets. He joined the practice in 1995 and became a partner in 2000.

Jason manages a lot of our complex surgical cases and has special interests in cruciate disease and the surgical management of airway disease. He also enjoys cardiology and along with Rachel does a lot of our heart case work-ups.

Jason has a very dedicated client-base and so often gets booked up quickly!

Clifford Maw – BVetMed CertVA MRCVS

Cliff is also one of the owners of Bicester Vets. He joined the practice in 2004 and became a partner in 2009.

Cliff is often involved with our more complex cases, whether they be surgical or medical. He was awarded the RCVS certificate in Veterinary Anaesthesia in 2009 and has since achieved ‘Advanced Practitioner’ status.

Cliff has also developed a special interest in ultrasound scanning as a diagnostic tool and is often drafted in to assist with these cases.

His main interest is in the care and anaesthesia of critically ill patients.

Claire Letts – BVetMed CertAVP(SAM) MRCVS

Claire is the ‘Veterinary Clinical Director’ at Bicester Vets and part of her job is to make sure we are all up to date with all the latest scientific knowledge so we can ensure you get the best, most up to date care for your pet.

Claire has been awarded the RCVS certificate in small animal medicine which means she is often our go-to guru for complex medical cases.

Claire, like Cliff is an ‘Advanced Practitioner’ and an invaluable member of our team, especially for our younger vets who she spends a lot of time mentoring.

Elaine Springer – BVM&S MRCVS

Elaine Springer

Veterinary Surgeon
Elaine has been with Bicester Vets since 2001 and is a key part of our team. She has a special interest in endocrinological medical cases such as hyperthyroidism in cats and Cushing’s disease in dogs.

She has been fundamental in researching and designing our investigation and treatment protocols for some of these complex diseases.

Palli Juggins – VetMB PGCertSAM MRCVS Palli Juggins

Palli has been with Bicester Vets since 1995 and has one of the most dedicated client followings out of any of our vets!

Palli has a variety of interests but is always our go to for questions about our more unusual patients such as small furries, exotics and chickens.

Throughout her career, she has continued to pursue a keen interest in most aspects of medicine & surgery in companion animals – which of course, has led to her keeping rather a few varieties at home!!

Helen Walton-Collett – BVM BVS PGCertSA Ophthal MRCVS

Helen has been providing excellent patient care with Bicester Vets since 2012. In 2018, after 3 years of study, she completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Ophthalmology. This really adds to her skills, giving her a far more in-depth knowledge of eye diseases in pets.

As well as ocular cases Helen also enjoys soft tissue surgery and is now able to combine these two interests and has started performing more complicated eye surgery here in Bicester.

Lucy Dobree – BVM BVS MRCVS

Lucy Dobree

Veterinary Surgeon
Lucy has been with Bicester Vets since 2014. She enjoys a variety of different cases but is especially
interested in oncological cases and specifically in the medical management of certain types of cancer.

Lucy is also interested in diagnostic imaging and hopes to undertake further qualifications in this area in the future.

Rachel Marsden – MA VetMB CertVC MRCVS

Rachel Marsden

Veterinary Surgeon, Certificate holder and Advanced practitioner
Rachel joined Bicester Vets in 2016 and currently works on Fridays. Rachel has been Vetting for many years and has a further qualification as an Advanced Practitioner in cardiology (heart disease).

She has brought a wealth of experience and knowledge to the practice and has taken over most of the cardiac investigations within the practice.

She is helping to improve the cardiology knowledge of the whole veterinary team which will benefit many of our patients.

Kyra Jennings – BVM BVS MRCVS

Kyra JenningsVeterinary Surgeon
Kyra joined us in 2016 fresh from vet school full of ideas and enthusiasm. Her parents and sister are all vets so she has grown up in a veterinary environment and is a real natural.

She has settled into our busy team really well. She has a keen interest in surgery and hopes to undertake further qualifications in this field in the not too distant future.

She also enjoys the challenges of out-of-hours emergency work.

Grace Sampson – BA VetMB MRCVS

Grace qualified from Cambridge in 2016 and gained experience working in a small animal practice before joining us in September 2017.
Grace has a special interest in ultrasound and dermatology.

Helen has many years of experience using ultrasound to examine and diagnose conditions in pets. She has been visiting Bicester Vets weekly since 2013 and has provided an incredible level of expertise to assist us with diagnosing complex conditions in your pets.

Mike Rhodes BVM&S CertVOphthal DipECVO MRCVS

Mike RhodesEuropean and RCVS recognised specialist in Veterinary Ophthalmology
Mike has a wealth of experience and expertise in eye conditions of pets. He joined our team in 2017 and regular weekly visits to the practice to see ophthalmological cases. Mike has previously worked in a large referral centre and now runs his own service called Focus Referrals.

Mike see patients on Fridays at Bicester Vets and is able to perform intricate ocular surgery here at the practice including cataract removal and corneal grafts.

Mark Craig – BVSc CertSAD MRCVS

Veterinary Dermatologist and Certificate holder
Mark has been coming monthly to Bicester Vets since 2018. He has a vast knowledge & experience in skin diseases and their treatment and his skills add a new depth to the level of care we can give to our patients who suffer from dermatological conditions.
