Microchipping

cavalier

Microchipping is a modern way of permanently identifying your pet and can be a great help in reuniting lost pets with their owners.

The chip is about the size of a grain of rice and is implanted with a needle. The chip holds a unique number and this number is stored with your information on a secure central database.

If a pet is found straying or injured, then its chip can be scanned quickly using a chip reader and the data can be accessed by Bicester Vets to help reunite the pet and owner.

Any species of pet can be chipped including reptiles! Also, since April 2016, it has become compulsory to chip all dogs over 8 weeks of age.

For more information or to book your pet in for chipping please contact the Bicester Vets. 01869 252077
