We’re thrilled to announce that on 14th November 2025 Bicester Vets passed into the full ownership of an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT). The trust will act as a long-term guardian of the business, ensuring Bicester Vets remains independent, locally rooted, and run for the benefit of its staff and clients.
The company board will continue to be steered safely by the experienced hands of existing Directors Jason Williams and Cliff Maw, but will now be strengthened by the addition of three new company directors with over 40 years of service between them.
The new Directors are Head Nurse, Louise Hughes and senior Veterinary Surgeons, Claire Letts and Kyra Jennings. These important appointments reflect the strength, experience, and collaboration within our leadership team.
Why we’ve done this
We wanted to secure the future of Bicester Vets as a values-driven, independent practice.
Employee ownership ensures that:
- The business won’t be sold to a corporate chain.
- Decisions will continue to be made with our patients, clients, and team at heart.
- Every one of us will have a voice and a shared interest in the collective success of the practice.
We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built at Bicester Vets, and this step ensures that our independence, values, and collaborative spirit will continue for many years to come.
Mash and his Detached “Abs”
Mash was rushed into Bicester Vets after his owners felt he “wasn’t right” and didn’t seem able to stand properly at home
Belle had her salivary gland removed!
If left untreated, salivary mucocoeles can continue to grow and cause pain
Beautiful Bella had been shot!
We are all horrified that someone’s pet cat could be shot like this and are thankful that the pellet stopped short of the chest.
